Eligibility & Admission Criteria

LBSIM seeks admission to the PGDM (General) and PGDM (Finance) programs through a rigorous selection process comprising scores from competitive examinations like CAT, GMAT, followed by Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.


  • 50% marks in graduation.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination in the year 2020, can also apply. 
  • All candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT 2019) conducted by the IIMs on November 24, 2019, or should have a valid GMAT score in a test taken between January 1, 2019 and January 15, 2020.
  • Foreign students, PIO and NRI sponsored candidates are also eligible and are required to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) at a test centre outside India, between January 1, 2019 and January 15, 2020.
  • Indian residents who have appeared for GMAT, between January 1, 2019 and January 15, 2020 are also eligible to apply.


  • The average annual package of the batch is Rs. 9.20 lakh as per the latest record with 100% placement. The highest domestic package offered was INR 28 lakhs p.a.
  • Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management lived upto its glorious past and witnessed another wonderful placement season for the batch of 2017-19. With 240 students participating in the placement process, LBSIM witnessed 262 offers from 109 companies, achieving 100 percent placement of all eligible students with many new recruiters being added to the diverse portfolio of recruiters.
  • Recognising LBSIM’s competency in the financial sector, reputed MNCs like EY India, Deloitte, ITC, Bain, Marsh India, Asian Paints, KPMG, EY GDS, Smartcube etc. offered coveted job profiles. Domestic banks also made their presence felt with IndusInd Bank, RBL Bank, HDFC Bank, YES Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank etc. by offering jobs to students from LBSIM.


For summer internship of PGDM (General), PGDM (Finance), PGDM (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) and PGDM (Research and Business Analytics) over 89 companies selected students for variety of projects locating them on a pan-India basis.
